
Privacy is essential to the exercise of free speech, free thought, and free association. In this library the right to privacy is the right to open inquiry without having the subject of one’s interest examined or scrutinized by others. Confidentiality exists when a library is in possession of personally identifiable information about users and keeps that information private on their behalf.

WHO MAY USE THE LIBRARY
A. The library shall serve free of charge all who wish to use the facility.
B. Service shall not be denied or abridged because of religious, social, economic or political reasons; or because of mental, emotional, or physical conditions; age; or sexual orientation.
LIBRARY CARDS
A. Adult library cards shall be issued upon written application.

Meeting Space
At the library board’s discretion, the library’s space may be available during closed times for meetings of groups operating within the library’s service area. There will be no charge to the group for the use of the space, and no admission fee may be charged by the group.
